Grand Cru Mambourg: exceptional terroir and wines in Alsace

Located on the hills of Sigolsheim, the Grand Cru Mambourg benefits from a southern exposure over 61.85 hectares, stretching nearly 1.3 km up the hillside. This terroir has been recognized since 783, a time when the wines of the "Sigoltesberg" were already renowned, thanks in particular to the local convents and lords who owned them.

The Mambourg is based on a calcimagnesian soil, composed of limestone conglomerates and tertiary marls, offering a unique mineral richness. Its southern exposure guarantees optimal sunshine, promoting perfect ripening of the grapes and giving the wines remarkable power and aromatic complexity.

Mainly planted with Gewurztraminer, Mambourg also grows Pinot Gris, Muscat and Riesling. These grape varieties, adapted to this terroir, produce elegant wines with great aromatic finesse, beautifully harmonious and long-keeping.
