Through archive footage, this film tells the story of the winery and immerses us in its founding values. In 1946, the ravages of war left the villages in ruins, so the village winegrowers decided to build a communal winery and then organize themselves into a cooperative. Considered utopians and dreamers, they were called Moon Chasers throughout the vineyard. It was a challenge to the heavens! A magnificent prelude to the history of BESTHEIM.

The film highlights the legend and courage of the Mondfangers, the famous "Moon Chasers," and reveals their identities. Winegrowers, oenologists, cellar masters, wine merchants, employees. More than 450 Moon Hunters, four generations of hard workers, producers of a wine with character, gastronomic, sincere and rich in its terroir. Throughout the history of BESTHEIM, they have remained united, working in unison for decades.
