Today, we reveal the quintessence of our expertise through a prestigious cuvée that reveals the infinite richness of its terroir. Its contents embody the character of the greatest Crémants d'Alsace in the most honest and authentic way. This distinctive cuvée, named "Qui chasse la Lune, Récolte le Soleil" (He who chases the moon, harvests the sun ), promises a unique and mysterious experience, paying tribute to the "Chasseurs de Lune" (moon hunters), ancestors and founders of the winery... This cuvée was born in 2010, under a lucky star. Originating from the "Strangenberg" area, with its predominantly limestone soil, it was designed to be an exceptional product.
Sylvain Kamm, the house oenologist, has accompanied this cuvée, which has great potential, throughout its youth and into maturity. Read his interview to learn more about the origins of this cuvée and what makes it so special. Disgorged in 2015, it rested for five years on slats to achieve excellence and will be served this fall at the tables of discerning connoisseurs.
Available in a limited edition of 1,141 numbered bottles, this Crémant is presented in a luxurious cardboard box featuring the House's signature colors: midnight blue dominates, highlighted by hot gold printing on a background illustrating the hillsides of Alsace. This elegant packaging, with its attention to detail, affirms the House's universe and values in line with its new identity. The bottle cap reveals a "secret" when removed, with a gold cap integrated into the wire cage. A haute couture box for a cuvée that deserves it!
Tasting notes
- EYE: This Crémant has a beautiful intense yellow color with straw gold highlights.
- NOSE: Its long aging gives it a beautiful complexity, tinged with notes of yellow and orange fruits such as apricots and peaches, mixed with characteristic toasted and spicy notes.
- PALATE: The palate continues in the same vein, with very fine, very smooth bubbles. The acidity is crystalline but well integrated into the wine. It blends beautifully with the creaminess and smoothness of the cuvée. The aromas reveal delicate notes of white peach, with subtle hints of graphite and dried raspberries.
Food and wine pairings: A delight to enjoy on its own (but accompanied by connoisseurs) or paired with a foie gras terrine or fish in a white butter sauce.
