Launch of Soléra, an exceptional Crémant d'Alsace
Bestheim unveils Soléra, a new Crémant d'Alsace cuvée from the limestone terroir of Strangenberg. Produced according to the principle of perpetual reserve and aged for a long time on slats, this cuvée reveals an elegant, complex, and decidedly gastronomic bubble.
A cuvée shaped by time, born from limestone terroir
Bestheim unveils a new cuvée that pushes the boundaries of Crémant d'Alsace: Soléra.
Produced on the Strangenberg hill, an iconic limestone terroir in the foothills of the Vosges mountains, already featured in our Balade Olfactive gift set, this cuvée has a distinct and refined character.
Through this unique creation, the house explores a rare blending method that makes time a true ingredient of the wine.
Produced according to the principle of perpetual reserve, this cuvée embodies an ambitious vision of Crémant d'Alsace: a gastronomic, deep and complex sparkling wine, designed for lovers of sparkling wines with character.
With Soléra, Bestheim has created a cuvée that combines precision, patience, and collective expertise.
A cuvée built around time and blending
Crémant Soléra is based on a unique production principle: blending several vintages within a perpetual reserve.
The base of the cuvée is Pinot Blanc, mainly from the 2017 and 2018 vintages. With each bottling, a portion of older wines is kept and blended with the more recent wines. This process creates aromatic continuity and gives the wine a stable, deep signature, where the vintages complement and enhance each other.
Over time, this blend gradually enriches the complexity and identity of the wine.
Long aging to reveal its full complexity
In order to develop its full aromatic richness, the cuvée is aged for 78 months on slats, which is particularly long for a Crémant d'Alsace.
This prolonged maturation refines the bubbles and brings great aromatic depth.
The wine is then dosed as extra-brut (less than 4 g/l), a choice that highlights the purity of the Pinot Blanc and the complexity provided by the reserve wines.
The result is a Crémant d'Alsace that is precise, balanced, and elegant.
A tasting experience combining finesse and character
In the glass, Soléra reveals a bright pale gold color, enlivened by a string of fine bubbles, patiently refined over time.
The nose opens with notes of almond and hazelnut, aromatic signatures of long aging and the Soléra method.
On the palate, the cuvée is distinguished by a full and generous texture, supported by a beautiful structuring acidity, before stretching out into a long and delicately salty finish.
This balance gives Soléra a truly gastronomic profile, which is perfectly at home at the table.
A wine designed for the table
With its aromatic depth and elegant tension, Soléra is the perfect accompaniment to refined, contemporary cuisine.
It pairs particularly well with:
- pan-fried scallops
- creamy risotto
- delicate poultry
- or modern vegetarian creations.
Served between 7 and 9°C, this cuvée reveals all its finesse and aromatic brilliance.
Soléra: a new expression of Crémant d'Alsace
