Grand Cru Zinnkoepflé: The rigors of the terroir

The Zinnkoepflé "Mont du Soleil" Grand Cru is located in the communes of Westhalten and Soultzmatt, on a limestone-sandstone terroir. Facing southwest, southeast, at an altitude of between 200 and 440 meters, it is the highest Grand Cru of Alsace. It has a Mediterranean-type climate, while being ventilated by currents of cool air.

These special characteristics enable the grapes to reach over-ripeness and richness while respecting the aromatic finesse of the grape varieties.

A sunny region with inimitable flavors

The Grand Cru Zinnkoepflé is renowned for the richness of its aromatic expression. The wines produced here reveal notes of peony, verbena, menthol and liquorice. Their profile often has a hint of vanilla, slightly smoky, with a beautiful salinity and a fresh finish that gradually makes your mouth water.

This limestone terroir, dotted with fossils, produces wines of remarkable intensity, imbued with finesse and depth.
