Getting to know the Pinot Gris Altenbourg

The lieu-dit of Altenbourg looks out over the village of Kientzheim. Facing directly south and rooted in a substrate of limestone and marlstone, these vines yield wines that are rich and powerful but always elegant and distinguished.

Tasting notes

Punchy, vibrant fruit. The bouquet is rich and complex, with notes of apricot, wild peach and orange blossom. Elegant and indulgent on the palate, with a well-rounded opening and a harmonious acidity leading to a crisp, refreshing finish.

Food-wine pairings

Pinot Gris Altenbourg makes a great aperitif, as well as a fine accompaniment for white meats such as roast pork with apricots.

And what if... Succumb to the temptation of an unexpected encounter...
