The art of winemaking

Words of masters

"The Bestheim style is a frank, clean and precise style that we find in our wines. On a human level, it is characterized by high standards, freedom and a lot of audacity. It is also a perpetual questioning of our methods in order to reach the high quality objective we have set ourselves."

Sylvain Kamm, Crémants Oenologist

A unique know-how, a choreography with millimetre precision

The Bestheim Moon Chasers demonstrate a unique know-how to sublimate wines, true arts of gastronomy. The effervescence of our Crémants d'Alsace is born in the cellars of Westhalten. The quieter character of our wines comes from the very heart of the brand, from Bennwihr. At Bestheim, each cuvée is a collegial work of art whose story begins with the choice of tools.

The first artists to enter the scene are the winemakers. Driven by the transmission of know-how from a long lineage, they are at the origin of the adaptations between colours - the grape varieties - and the material - the terroirs. Their different ways of cultivating the vines, often handed down from generation to generation, are as many brushes, spatulas or varnishes that give the different plots of land unique volumes, materials and structures.

Technique and tradition to write the most beautiful score

The resulting grapes are comparable to the notes needed by our conductors, who receive them and direct them according to their origins and maturity, to compose the symphony best suited to the style sought.

Each vat has its own spirit, its own style, its own strength, its own material... It is then the oenologists, our virtuosos, who will apply their know-how and expertise to bring the five senses into harmony and produce wines that will bear the style of the Bestheim cellar like so many paintings, melodies or plots of life...
