A reference point for Crémant d'Alsace

Bestheim wines and Crémants d’Alsace are regularly promoted and recognised by the Hachette Wine Guide, the Confrontation Internationale des Meilleurs Effervescents du Monde, the Decanter World Wine Awards, the Concours des Grands Vins Blancs du Monde and others.

Certain honours have especially marked Bestheim’s history over the last two decades.

    A reference point for Crémant d'Alsace

    In 2005, our Crémant d'Alsace Grand Prestige took second place in a blind tasting organised by Crémant de France magazine, featuring a selection of Champagnes and sparkling wines from all over France. First and third places went to very famous Champagnes, and this fantastic performance did much to raise the profile of our brand and our appellation.

    In 2016, the 2014 vintage Grand Prestige Rosé was selected from among 540 competitors from 24 countries at the Confrontation Internationale des Meilleurs Effervescents du Monde global sparkling wine challenge. As well as picking up the coveted gold medal (a total 34 medals were awarded in the category), our 100% Pinot Noir cuvée took the top spot in the overall classification!

    More recently, in 2019, the 2017 vintage Grand Prestige Rosé and Crémant d'Alsace Brut Rosé both ranked in the top 10 at this same competition, thereby confirming the high standards of quality that our teams insist on from the vineyard to the cellar, year after year.
