Muscat

Fresh and dry

Three grape varieties are used to produce Alsace Muscat wine: small-grape Muscat Blanc, also called Muscat de Frontignan, Muscat Ottonel and small-grape Muscat Rose. Depending on the dominant variety, the wine can be crisp or round. But whatever the proportions, Muscat is a remarkably aromatic wine.

Its clear, fresh texture, combined with very evident notes of grape make it a spontaneous and fragrant wine.

Muscat is an AOC (PDO) wine and has Alsace appellation status since 1971.

full of finesse and freshness

Muscat is an early variety with little acidity and great aromatic finesse, used for crafting dry or dessert wines. In Alsace, Muscat is mainly used for making fresh, dry white wines.

Adding freshness to your meals

With its dry character, Muscat whets the appetite and can therefore be enjoyed as an aperitif wine. It is simply divine with asparagus, and just as good with other dishes based around raw or steamed vegetables.
