A distinctive variety
Pinot Noir is an ancient variety that goes back to the Middle-Ages. It went through a period of decline during which the wines, diluted and served too cold, had little personality; the variety regained its prestige thanks to committed winegrowers who produced more assertive, full-bodied wines. Today, 10% of the Alsace wine-growing area is planted to Pinot Noir.
Alsace reds are well placed to make a name for themselves through their great quality!
