The fruit of vines planted in the Kientzheim-Kaysersberg, in the Vosges foothills, this Pinot Gris comes from a terroir dominated by gravel and alluvium. A great wine from a noble grape variety. Matured for 12 to 16 months in French oak barrels.
A splendid, vibrant gold colour. The nose is somewhat restrained at first, but soon opens to reveal enticing smoky and roasted notes, backed with a fruity, mineral freshness. Complex, full-bodied and harmonious on the palate. Great depth of flavour, with an imposing structure and a remarkable freshness which allow this wine to age beautifully.
A wonderful aperitif, and an excellent match for roasted white meats, shellfish, rich meaty dishes and cheeses. We recommend decanting this wine to appreciate its full complexity.
